Experiment: This piece is on sale due to it being an experiment and not ending up in production. This piece is glazed on the interior. The exterior is left unglazed and sanded smooth. If you get any scuff marks on the exterior over time, they can be buffed out using a little "Bar Keeper's Friend" cleaning powder or some fine grit wet sandpaper.
Porcelain Dessert Plate - Deep Blue
This piece is made with porcelain clay on a potters wheel using a process called jiggering. The interior is glazed and the exterior is exposed raw clay that has been sanded smooth.
Note: Part of the beauty of these wares are their handmade qualities. They will vary slightly from one to the next and may include small imperfections. For example, it is common for the porcelain to have some speckling which adds to it's uniqueness.
