Second: This piece is a second due to an unglazed spot on the bottom and chips in the foot from getting stuck to the kiln shelf. It also has a brown spot in the glaze on the top of the plate. These are only cosmetic issues and don't affect the integrity of the piece.

This piece is made with porcelain clay on a potters wheel using a process called jiggering. It it fully glazed in clear with hand painted bands of color at the rim.
Note: Part of the beauty of these wares are their handmade qualities. They will vary slightly from one to the next and may include small imperfections. For example, it is common for the porcelain to have some speckling which adds to it's uniqueness.
